It was the next day before the two awoke from their sleep. The previous day had taxed them greatly in both physical strength and mental endurance. Everything seemed like a dream, but the wounds that the kid had did not disappear. It was as though the fight with Farore would remind him that this is reality and not some dream. Saria was unharmed but she wouldn’t wake up so the boy brought her back to her house and he slept on a couch made of wooden materials. He had set up a blanket of sorts as a cushion and had fallen asleep for the rest of the day until the next morning. The wooden clock on the table told him it was still early in the day as he looked out the window and saw a brief glimpse of the sun.
As the two walked into the temple, they could see the devastation of the temple. Deku Babas were growing out of control in the temple, and Wolfos could be seen patrolling the interior. The elevator to the bottom stairwell where the boy passed out was now guarded by big pig like soldiers with spears. Probably bigger moblins than the boy was used to seeing but they kept walking around and sniffing for scents of their enemies.
As the two walk down the mountain to Kakariko, Death Mountain seems to have settled down quite a bit from that quaking aftermath. The residents seemed to be up and about clearing the debris and putting out fires. The place wasn’t as bad as before, but for the most part, it was still in charred ruins. The boy felt sorry for the residents. He knew that they would rebuild eventually, but at the moment, the situation was pretty grim. Once they reached the bottom of Death Mountain, Saria finally spoke to the boy again.
“Who’s there?” The boy said, “Are you Din, the Goddess of Power?”
“Ah, so you know who I am, that’s good. Well then, come hither. I have some disturbing news to tell you.” Din said, slowly dimming her fiery form and becoming more human.
Umm, I’ve been lazy as fuck so…idk…I got a few lines done, but ya this series is taking me longer than expected…but I think I’ll get it done sooner or later. Expect at least another 10 chapters. We’re about halfway done; also the whole thing can be read in 1 shot on Google Docs when I’m completely done with the damn series.
It’d be a week later before Kasumi and Sato were called into action to investigate the situation at The Academy, they would be spending the rest of the week enjoying themselves in the cabin on the mountain. Kasumi and Sato talked about going to the healers to get it removed, but Sato was unsure.
9 took longer than usual because I passed out the night I was gonna release it, but it’s out so enjoy it.
